The city of Laguna, in the state of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil, has recently received three important restorations of its historic heritage financed by the Brazilian government: the Laguna Congress, the Railway Complex and the Candemil House.

The Laguna Congress was founded in 1889 with the aim of creating physical and intellectual activities for the city's youth. The current headquarters of the Congress was built in 1934, in an eclectic style, and was considered a national heritage with the Historic Center of the city, in 1985.

The Laguna Railway Complex was the first station in Laguna, built between 1880 and 1884. Located in the surroundings of the Historic Center, the complex has been valued as a Cultural Heritage of Brazil since 2007.

The Candemil House, built in the 19th century, was donated to the National Historical and Artistic Institute, which restored the building for the opening of a Public Archive in the city that was also digitized by the federal government.
